Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Operations Manager specializing in mechanical construction projects. The Director of Operations Manager will play a key role in overseeing and optimizing our mechanical construction operations, ensuring efficiency, effectiveness, and profitability. This role requires strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a comprehensive understanding of mechanical construction processes and industry standards.
Responsibilities:

Operational Strategy Development:
Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
Identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency gains, and cost reduction in mechanical construction operations.
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational performance and identify areas for improvement.
Project Management Oversight:
Provide oversight and guidance to project managers and superintendents, ensuring mechanical construction projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Monitor project progress and performance, identifying potential risks and issues and implementing corrective actions as needed.
Ensure compliance with project specifications, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements.
Resource Allocation and Management:
Allocate resources effectively, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to support mechanical construction projects.
Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment to project sites.
Optimize resource utilization to minimize waste and maximize productivity.
Budgeting and Financial Management:
Develop and manage budgets and forecasts for mechanical construction projects, monitoring expenses and profitability.
Identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement, implementing strategies to maximize project profitability.
Ensure accurate and timely invoicing and billing, resolving any discrepancies or issues as needed.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
Implement quality control measures to ensure that mechanical construction activities meet industry standards, regulatory requirements, and project specifications.
Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address any quality issues or deficiencies.
Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
Stakeholder Management:
Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.
Serve as a point of contact for client inquiries and concerns, addressing issues promptly and effectively.
Foster a collaborative and productive working environment, promoting teamwork and open communication.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical construction operations, with a track record of successful project delivery.
Strong leadership abilities and executive presence, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.
In-depth knowledge of mechanical construction processes, best practices, and industry trends.
Proficiency in project management software and tools.
PMP or similar certification is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
