As a Business Development Representative, you will be an integral part of our Business Development team, reporting directly to the VP of Business Development. This is a full-time position based out of our Sacramento, CA office.

JOB DUTIES:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify potential clients and key stakeholders within the municipalities, utilities, and facility markets.
  • Generate new business opportunities through proactive outreach, including phone calls, emails, and participation in networking events.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with decision-makers, influencers, and industry partners to understand their needs and pain points.
  • Demonstrate NEXGEN's value propositions and benefits effectively to prospects, demonstrating how our EAM/CMMS software can address their specific challenges and goals.
  • Qualify leads and opportunities to ensure alignment with our target market segments and criteria.
  • Manage and update prospect information and interactions in the CRM system to track progress and facilitate follow-up activities.
  • Represent NEXGEN at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to expand our presence within target markets.
  • Assist in the development of sales presentations, proposals, and other collateral as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in sales, business development, or customer-facing roles is a plus but not required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage clients and prospects effectively.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Interest in technology and a desire to pursue a career in sales or business development within the software industry.

Compensation:
  • Salary: $70,000/yr - $85,000/yr (depending on qualifications and experience).
  • Bonuses: Annual bonuses based on performance.
This is a full-time position based out of our Sacramento, CA office and is not remote.
