Job DetailsJob Location04 - Sauk Rapids, MNDescriptionPurpose:Represents Midwest Machinery for the sale of agricultural, compact construction, and turf equipment as well as aftermarket solutions to new and existing accounts. Consistently exhibits Midwest Machinery Company's core purpose and values.Responsibilities:Represents the company for the sale of machinery to area defined customer baseProactively grows customer base in assigned territory and follows up on potential leadsMaintains current product knowledge on features and benefits of all equipment potentially saleable by the dealershipMonitors competitive activity/products and timely communicates it accordinglyMaintains all customer information in assigned territoryKnows and follows a defined sales processAchieves sales goals as determined by the companyMaintains assigned company vehicles and equipmentConducts product field demonstrationsMonitors trends in customers sales and aftermarket business activities and timely communicates to sales managerMaintains current knowledge of financing/warranty/service options to assist customers with securing the purchase of new and used goodsAttends applicable sales training events/seminarsMaintains current knowledge of used equipment values and ability to evaluate properly for trading purposesAssists other sales/service/parts staff in identifying potential customers and completing salesInteracts in a positive and respectful manner with customers and fellow employeesMaintains and promotes a safe work environment. Demonstrates understanding of and ability to follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignmentsPerforms other duties as assignedQualificationsExperience, Education, Skills, and Knowledge:High School Diploma/GED; associate or bachelor's degree in business or marketing preferred;1+ years sales experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experienceKnowledge of agricultural or turf equipment and farming or operational practices requiredBasic business knowledge and math skillsAbility to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functionsExcellent customer relationship and negotiating skillsAbility to analyze and interpret basic sales reportsAbility to use a forklift/skid loader preferredPhysical and Mental and Other Requirements:Frequent bending and stoopingAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.Ability to work flexible hoursClimbing/using laddersValid driver's license with an insurable driving record requiredMust pass a pre-employment background studyThis job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed; it is not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required for the position.
