Participate in discussions about the development and implementation of the business plan. Work closely with practice group and team leaders to identify opportunities to increase visibility for the practice groups and teams. Participate and contribute to department, practice group, team, and industry initiative meetings. Play an active role in the meetings, inclusive of tracking follow-up activities. Work with the firm’s Proposal and Competitive Intelligence teams to conduct research and obtain market intelligence on industries, trade associations, clients, and prospects, to prepare tailored pitches, and proposals. Develop and maintain collateral materials including representative experience, practice area and team descriptions/brochures, and website content. Assist in the development of business development curriculum working with Department Head and/or Practice Group Leaders, Director of Practice Management and the Attorney Development and Retention team. Develop and monitor budgets for the assigned practice groups and teams. Incorporate knowledge of relevant industries, market intelligence and business practices into firmwide business strategies; anticipate client needs and trends; and develop responsive solutions to support practice groups and individual attorneys. Develop strong, responsive relationships with the department, practice groups, teams, clients, and industry group leaders. Network and forge relationships with referral sources and relevant industry organizations to assist in driving revenue. Attend industry networking events and conferences.
