Join our People team as a Culture & Inclusion Specialist at RS&H We're on the lookout for a dynamic individual passionate about fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture. This remote role offers flexibility, but we're ideally looking for someone based in Florida, Texas, or Colorado

This pivotal role supports the design and implementation of culture-related activities and initiatives to attract, develop, and retain a diverse workforce while fostering an inclusive work environment. As a collaborative and strategic member of the People team, you will work closely with the People Leadership team and DE&I steering committee to translate our inclusion strategy into tangible actions and meaningful results across the firm.

Key Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Strategy Development and Implementation
    • Develop, execute, and continuously improve a comprehensive culture and inclusion strategy aligned with organizational initiatives.
    • Implement and coordinate related programs based on research, best practices, internal and external data, and feedback.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement
    • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including operations, strategy, marketing, legal, and communications teams, to ensure alignment with inclusion best practices.
    • Partner with People team leaders to review policies and practices to mitigate and remove biases that may hinder an inclusive culture.
    • Develop and monitor programs to attract individuals from underrepresented groups.
  • Support for Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)
    • Foster the development of ERGs to drive improvements of an inclusive and supportive community for underrepresented employee groups.
    • Assist in the design, formation, and ongoing advisory and governance of established and new ERGs.
  • Culture Programs
    • Administer the associate engagement survey and establish goals and action plans based on the results.
    • Oversight of other people related programs that improve the culture.
  • Inclusion Metrics
    • Lead data collection efforts related to inclusion metrics across the company.
    • Analyze data and prepare reports to assess the progress and effectiveness of initiatives, continuously enhancing programs.
  • Leadership and Associate Tools
    • Implement tools that support conversations improving understanding and associates sense of belonging.
    • Act as a culture and inclusivity champion, offering consultation and knowledge-building to others across the company.
  • Training and Education
    • Support training and education across all levels of the company.
    • Promote the culture and inclusion strategy and facilitate sessions as needed.
    • Present to various teams and committees to raise awareness of inclusion programs and promote inclusive behaviors.
  • Branding and Messaging
    • Collaborate with key departments to ensure branding and messaging align with our strategy.
    • Ensure all communications, intranet, internet, and social media reflect a consistent inclusion strategy.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, including managing complex projects and leading or participating in culture, inclusion and DE&I initiatives.
  • Ability to challenge the status quo professionally and collaboratively.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, research, and organizational capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, ideally adept at public speaking and presentations.
  • Understanding of different identities, barriers, and current trends in the associate experience space.
  • Proven ability to influence, persuade, and build strong business partnerships with leadership.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage a diverse workload with shifting priorities.
  • Initiative, follow-through, and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge of learning management platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in an architecture or engineering firm.
