Description

About the position...

The Property Accountant is responsible for various accounting duties in support of the Property Management Division for the company.
  • Supports the property management operations with day-to-day accounting questions, daily processes, and related inquiries.
  • Process, review, and reconcile receivables, billables, and payables.
  • Review, collaborate, and compile property manager's variance notes for monthly Net Operating Income report.
  • Reconcile various general ledger accounts monthly.
  • Assists in maintaining PMG fixed asset files, depreciation, and amortization schedules.
  • Assists with property management budget preparation.
  • Prepares year-end work papers and financial statements for associated entities.
  • Running and compiling various ad hoc reports as needed.
  • Supports other property management accountants and assists with projects as needed.
Requirements

What we are looking for from you...
  • Minimum of two years related work experience and/or an Associate Degree in accounting
  • Proficient in Excel spreadsheets, work processing, and computerized accounting systems, preferably Yardi
  • Keen attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • Strong professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet multiple deadlines
  • Driver's License and reliable transportation is required
