About Nectir Nectir is a seed stage VC-backed EdTech company founded by students at UC Santa Barbara with the mission of reinventing how we teach and learn to create the classroom of the future. Our flagship platform, Nectir Chat, is campus-wide communication infrastructure built to create a community in every class. Our newest software, Nectir AI, is conversational AI infrastructure that allows educators to utilize powerful LLMs to create FERPA-compliant, customizable AI Assistants that sit within the LMS. At Nectir, we believe in fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning. Our team is passionate about leveraging technology and empowering institutions to deliver personalized education at scale. Responsibilities Engage with potential new prospects through both inbound inquiries as well as through prospecting via outbound channels such as emails and cold calling. Engage in a consultative sales process to understand each institutions unique needs and requirements and to establish yourself as a trusted advisor. Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders at higher education institutions including executives, department heads and influencers. Develop a strong understanding of institutions organizational structures and decision-making processes in order to navigate the sales process. Deliver impactful sales presentations and effectively communicate Nectir AIs value proposition. Lead the contract negotiation process, including pricing and deal terms, and manage deals through closure. Expand existing account value through identifying and securing new revenue opportunities. Effectively manage a pipeline and provide regular forecast updates. Consistently meet or exceed assigned sales quota and revenue targets. Collaborate with internal teams including product, marketing, community, legal and finance to ensure smooth deal closure and implementation. Provide informative feedback to the internal teams to help shape product roadmap and improve the customer experience. Experience Bachelors degree. 4 years of proven Enterprise Software Sales experience successfully navigating through large, complex organizations and closing deals. Self-starter that is comfortable in a fast paced, dynamic environment. Experience working at early stage companies is preferred. Understanding of educational pedagogy and experience successfully selling to higher education institutions is preferred. Experience selling enterprise level software, SaaS sales and services. Experience selling at all levels, including C level and above. Ability to craft compelling proposals that effectively communicate value and align with the specific needs of the client. Proven success prospecting, building a pipeline, and moving opportunities through the sales cycle to closure.
