Apply for Staff Associate for Board Operations The University of Maine System is accepting applications for the Staff Associate for Board Operations (Staff Associate). This position serves as primary staff to the Clerk of the Board of Trustees (Board Office). The Staff Associate assists the Clerk in performing administrative duties such as scheduling, communication management, and record keeping. Aides in coordinating logistics for all Board meetings, committee meetings, and events. The work location is on the Orono campus of the University of Maine. For the right candidate, will consider working remotely. The normal hiring salary range for this position is low to mid $40s, depending on skills and experience plus a 10% employer contribution to the UMS retirement plan. Additional benefits include medical, dental, vision, and tuition waiver programs for employees and dependents. Review of applications begins immediately. Minimum Qualifications: An Associates degree or an equivalent combination of expertise and experience and five to seven years of relevant professional experience requiring a high level of confidentiality, independent judgment, analysis, discretion, and accuracy. Valid drivers license and be an authorized and approved University driver based on the Driver Administration Policy. Excellent oral and written communication skills, time management skills, interpersonal skills, and high-level competency with a personal computer. Experience with project management, database management, and event planning. Ability to multi-task, work well under pressure, and work in a stressful, fast-paced environment. Experience with taking and transcribing meeting minutes. Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience supporting a board of directors, governmental council, commission, etc., or other entity with similar characteristics and public visibility.
