The Treatment Supervisor shall assist the Spa Manager in his/her duties by efficiently, accurately, courteously, and professionally managing day-to-day operations in accordance with the established Mokara Spa Traditions of Service Excellence.

The Treatment Supervisor is responsible for providing prompt and efficient service while abiding by the service standards set forth by the Spa Director. The Treatment Supervisor ensures high standards of cleanliness and presentation in treatment areas while providing guests and members with personal, courteous service.

The Treatment Supervisor should stimulate a friendly, cheerful attitude with emphasis on At Your Service in her conduct with Managers, Guests, and fellow Associates. He/she serves as a role model to all Associates, adhering closely to Omni Barton Creek Values. The Treatment Supervisor sets the highest possible example in conduct, temperament, attendance, punctuality, and standards of work.

Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist the treatment team by providing them with the leadership to attain business goals and objectives.
  • Assist with day-to-day operation of the spa.
  • Perform treatments according to Spa procedures and standards if necessary
  • Assist in and coordinate training for spa line service providers.
  • Assist in training new Spa personnel as needed.
  • Perform inventory of product on a weekly basis.
  • Requisition spa professional products.
  • Conduct Service Provider MOS Audits.
  • Perform room audits to ensure room compliance.
  • Comply with room set up and sanitation procedures, inventory & linen dispensation guidelines, and safety measures.
  • Make suggestions to improve overall operation of spa, working conditions, comfort of guests by utilizing open communication with supervisors, managers and director.
  • Perform reasonable tasks as assigned by management.
  • Provide excellent guest service and handle all guest requests, complaints and service issues.
  • Communicate with reservations regarding guest spa appointments and revisions and therapist availability.
  • Assist Spa Manager in monthly inventory.
  • Assist with the development of business strategies and project plans to ensure that the design and implementation of new concepts, methods, and policies and procedures relating to the Spa are aligned with company and department goals.
  • Communicate all maintenance and housekeeping concerns efficiently to maintain consistent operations of spa facilities.
  • Must have a whatever it takes outlook for Guests, fellow Associates, and other departments.
  • Monitor cleanliness and supplies in treatment areas.
  • Be knowledgeable about complete facilities and services to readily answer any and all questions about the Spa.
  • Maintain a cooperative, team-like attitude in working with management and employees in all Omni departments. Help achieve our common goals of maximizing guest satisfaction and profit margins.
  • Assist Service Providers as needed to ensure smooth flow of appointments.
  • Complete special projects/events as assigned.
Qualifications:
HOSPITALITY SKILLS

Through individual effort and teamwork, Spa Associates will ensure all Guest contact is handled in a friendly and professional manner. We will ensure complete Guest satisfaction and repeat business when we anticipate the Guest's needs, demonstrate sensitivity and responsiveness. The Treatment Supervisor will exhibit and practice the following Spa Hospitality Bubble:

HOSPITALITY BUBBLE - A designated imaginary or real space around a work area. All Associates of that area must speak/acknowledge anyone who enters the "bubble."

MAGIC MOMENT - A moment in time is critical for the Guest. The Guest is feeling anxiety due to the situation or potential situation. The Associate's job is to get the Guest through the event in a way that builds repeat business.

EMPOWERMENT - Associates are delegated decision-making power in certain pre-determined cases. These are routine situations normally handled by supervisors and cause inconvenience to the Guest.

NOTE: As a Mokara Spa Associate, you are responsible for helping to achieve ongoing Guest satisfaction, Associate satisfaction, and reaching Resort goals in any job capacity regardless of primary job function. Omni Barton Creek functions 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. All staff members must realize this fact and be aware that at times it may be necessary to move a staff member from their accustomed shift as business demands. In addition, I understand that business determines the amounts of hours that I work, and that some weeks I may work less than 40 hours, and other weeks I may be scheduled to work more than 40 hours per week.

DESIRED QUALITIES AND WORK HABITS

Organized, positive attitude about job, recognizes positive and negative aspects of position, pleasant, well groomed, sensitive to Guests needs, creative, team player, projects maturity, courteous, maintains control in difficult situations. Additionally, he/she should have money-handling skills, some retail experience, and possess knowledge of the products and services offered in the Spa.

EXPERIENCE:

Cosmetician and or Massage license is mandatory.

3-5 years management experience

Ability to handle guests and associates in difficult situations and under pressure.

Adaptability to varying schedule changes and flexibility with schedule.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Follow all aspects of job safety.
  2. Understand that the job may require bending, stooping, and lifting of materials up to 20 pounds.
