Position Summary and Requirements

The Surgical Services Supervisor is responsible for ensuring high-quality, patient-focused care through effective management of daily operations and staffing within the department. This role involves monitoring nursing care delivery in line with established protocols and holding staff accountable for achieving quality and clinical outcomes.

  • Implement evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety and quality of care.
  • Promote efficiency and effectiveness in clinical practices while fostering a culture of accountability.
  • Support the achievement of accreditation and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Oversee equipment maintenance and ensure adherence to safety standards.
  • Manage patient admissions and discharges to optimize care delivery.
  • Facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration to meet patient care needs effectively.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance patient experience and satisfaction.
  • Utilize feedback mechanisms to identify areas for improvement in service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with best practices that elevate patient care and customer service.
  • Collaborate with other leaders to foster teamwork and improve outcomes.
  • Identify training and development needs for staff to enhance performance.

Qualifications:

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare environment.
  • At least one year in a leadership capacity.
