This position will oversee manufacturing and quality areas and work with maintenance to meet production goals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Manage day-to-day production operations to ensure efficient utilization of resources, including personnel, materials, and equipment. Oversee production planning and execution to enhance quality and productivity. Develop and assess new methods and procedures to optimize manufacturing efficiency. Ensure fair and consistent application of policies and procedures across the manufacturing area. Implement strategies to minimize overtime hours and optimize workforce utilization, including effective scheduling and capacity planning. Monitor and control overall costs associated with operations, materials, and labor. Actively drives positive culture change around safety, quality, delivery, and productivity. Engages with the production team. Directly supports staff on the manufacturing floor. Provides supervision and guidance to Production Supervisors. Provides hiring, promotion, and disciplinary action recommendations. Conducts performance evaluations and feedback for direct reports. Schedule and conduct Supervisor meetings. Works closely with Human Resources to develop workforce capability and effectiveness over time. An individual in this position must be able to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities listed above. Strong leadership skills with a focus on employee development. Effective interpersonal and written communication skills. Ability to write reports, procedure manuals, and correspondence. Able to interpret a variety of specifications and information furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Preferred Qualifications: High energy level Strong leadership skills, independent thinking, strong organizational and planning abilities, and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Should be well organized and have multi-taking abilities. Able to plan, organize, prioritize, and achieve effective time management. Able to practical problem solve and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Physical and Mental Demands: Frequently required to stand and walk. Occasionally required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, carrying and moving parts, materials, and products. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus. Regularly required to talk and hear. The mental and physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
