What we need:

The Global Product Manager is responsible for developing and implementing marketing and sales strategies for a specific product group. This person works closely with engineering, operations, strategic sourcing and channel management to define, develop, implement and maintain the value proposition around the product line incorporating product lifecycle management and marketing requirements to meet customer expectations. This person will also work with research and development to define, build and launch new products.

What you'll be doing:

  • Develop implement, and maintain a long term product roadmap with a strong focus on product concepts and product strategy that manages the long term health of the portfolio driven by the Voice of the Customer and Market Research.
  • Assist in gathering and analyzing customer insights via VOC work resulting in better meeting the diverse customer needs and more accurate business cases that you develop.
  • Develop and lead a team of Product Managers.
  • Foster development of needed technologies to enable the Roadmap and to position the product line for market share gain.
  • Ensure category financial performance meets or exceeds growth expectations of the organization.
  • Gather knowledge about the competitive environment that drives action to sales, marketing and R D.
  • Initiate and coordinate the marketing/PR and business activities in close cooperation with Marketing Communication and Sales.
  • Develop and own product pricing and prioritize positioning strategies to maximize share and or profit as needed.
  • Develop a comprehensive knowledge base of major market segments and competitive environment that drives action to sales, marketing and R D.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations and strategic sourcing to identify and execute cost out initiatives to maintain market competitiveness.

What you'll need to be successful:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, sciences, business or relevant field, MBA Preferred.
  • 10 years of product management experience in a manufacturing environment, including developing and driving product roadmaps.
  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership position.
  • Proven understanding of marketing concepts and executing business strategies.
  • Proven business acumen.
  • Experience managing a minimum of $50M or greater revenue product category.
  • Experience presenting and engaging with executive level audiences.
  • Up to 30% travel, international and domestic.
