Recruit Secure is collaborating with a large (200++ beds), Skilled Nursing Home in Hempstead, NY that is seeking a highly motivated Medicaid Coordinator for direct hire. The Medicaid Coordinator will be responsible to complete, and track all Medicaid applications, and verifications for new residents as well as re-certifications.. Additionally, the Coordinator will be a liaison between the Nursing Home, patients, families and Medicaid vendors. The successful candidate will have experience within Skilled Nursing Homes, and be familiar with latest guidelines and regulations regarding Medicaid eligibility and documentation and have a track record of streamlining application processes to meet department and company goals.The Nursing Home is part of a very stable organization and the staff is friendly and cooperative. A full benefit package is offered.Responsibilities:Track and monitor Medicaid vendorsComplete Medicare insurance verifications for prospective residentsIdentifying and correcting eligibility issues for prospective residentsUpdate all reportsDiscuss financial questions and Admissions agreements with prospective residents and families.Address questions and/or complaints brought forward by patients and/or their families.Work cooperatively with other departments and senior management.Requirements:At least 2 years' experience in Skilled Nursing Homes or LTC facilities Minimum 1-year experience with Medicare- Medicaid related fieldBasic computer skills, proficient with Excel.Excellent communication skills#IND123
