Quality Assurance Manager

Description:
+ Develop procedures, tracking mechanisms and feedback for manufacturing processes.
+ Identify root cause of issues and implement corrective action.
+ Perform product inspections, develop and train on new quality procedures and test methods.
+ Assist in complaint evaluations, investigations and corrective actions.
+ Perform internal audits to identify any non-conforming areas and develop sustainable corrective actions.
+ Proactively audits jobs while in production to verify that quality checks are being completed properly.
+ Write SOPs for current processes as well as future processes that will be implemented.
+ Log all internal and external quality issues and maintain communication with customers to ensure that non-conforming product is addressed promptly.
+ Develop training programs to ensure consistent processes are utilized.
+ Develop overall checklists to ensure completed product has been manufactured in accordance with customer specifications.
+ Ensure continued ISO Certification.
+ Organize and present quality control program to customers as they audit our processes and procedures, respond to deficiencies noted.
+ Prepare timely, accurate metrics to share with senior leaders and plantwide for feedback and training opportunities via collection and analysis of all quality data.
+ Determine and evaluate risks in the manufacturing process that will affect quality, safety or throughput. Perform Risk Analysis and implement procedures or other mitigations to decrease risk.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in engineering or science related field.
+ 5+ years' relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment.
+ Experience in the following areas: Six Sigma / Continuous Improvement, FMEA, Root Cause Analysis.
+ Ability to analyze data, draw conclusions and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
+ Proven ability to build consensus and lead change.
+ Ability to interact with all levels of the organization to generate the statistics, processes and feedback needed to improve the quality of products manufactured.
+ Knowledge of ISO processes and audit compliance.
+ A clear understanding of how to link current processes to ISO processes.
+ Passionate about quality and discovering the root cause of issues.
+ Experience working in a manufacturing environment with knowledge of manufacturing operations and processes.
+ Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Deadline and detail oriented.
+ Excellent computer skills including experience with Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Additional Information:
+ Must have ISO certifications, a lot of auditing experience, and outstanding communication skills.
+ Will have 6 direct reports initially.
+ Manufacturing background is a must have.
