Job Description

The Marketing Project Coordinator helps to coordinate and execute all facets of the day-to-day marketing for Auro Hotels owned and managed hotels as well as our onsite hotel food and beverage (F&B) outlets. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, a wide scope of project management and marketing activities, including support of collateral, digital marketing, social media, event marketing, brand management, advertising and paid media, and in-house guest marketing with a goal to drive awareness, revenue, and repeat business. Auro's growing hotel portfolio is comprised of properties within the Marriott, Hilton, and Hyatt brands. Additionally, examples of restaurants include Juniper, Paloma, The Press Room, and Perfect Buns at the AC Hotel Downtown Greenville, Roost Restaurant at the Hyatt Regency Greenville and Oak & Honey at the Residence Inn/Springhill Suites in downtown Greenville, SC, among other food & beverage outlets across Auro's hotel portfolio.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong marketing mindset and a creative sensibility, have solid organizational and communication skills with natural relationship-building abilities, and thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment of a rapidly growing marketing operation. Estimate 50% of duties will be focused on hotels and 50% of duties focused on Restaurants/Food & Beverage outlets. Position is based in Greenville, South Carolina.

Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Assist with coordination of in-house collateral production
  • Support email marketing campaigns
  • Create and execute promotional campaigns for hotel special events to drive attendance
  • Monitor owned websites, search engines, and third-party listing / affiliate websites (Yelp, OpenTable, TripAdvisor, Resy, Cvent, etc.) for accurate food & beverage outlet information and menu content as well as hotel content accuracy; make updates as necessary.
  • Serve as a point of contact for sales and operations for resolving issues, planning events, procuring marketing assets, and coordinating logistics and timelines
  • Assist in coordinating website redesigns, maintenance and new website launches for food and beverage outlets as directed by digital team
  • Assist in public relations efforts to promote food and beverage offerings and activities
  • Assist with adherence to brand, positioning and style guide for hotel brands and food and beverage outlets
  • Help develop and execute marketing and promotion activities for new food and beverage outlet openings
  • Set up and optimize hotel paid media advertising (CPC, display, etc.) and create performance summary reports
  • Coordinate with vendors assisting in creative, production and web design projects
  • Help create and edit copy for various marketing and advertising opportunities
  • Support on-property sales and operations teams with in-house guest marketing initiatives
  • Help drive corporate group and wedding event booking campaigns and digital marketing strategies
  • Manage creation of sales and operations marketing toolkit support items
  • Assist in ongoing audits / updates of content on hotel property websites and third-party travel site listings
  • Provide marketing assistance for HR recruiting and retention efforts
  • Support the VP of Marketing, Digital/Graphics/PR teams with other duties as requested
Desired Skills & Experience
  • 2-3 years in a hotel or marketing agency environment
  • Skilled at multi-tasking, meeting established deadlines, and delivering high-quality work
  • Proven experience with trafficking multiple projects and client/vendor deliverables
  • Experience managing a variety of marketing projects, including but not limited to, email marketing campaigns, website/landing pages, print collateral, social media, paid media advertising campaigns (print, digital, social, CPC, etc.), event marketing, restaurant marketing, promotions, production, etc.
  • Ability to clearly articulate project details, priorities, and workflow to internal team
  • Ability to understand and work in accordance with client brand standards, goals & objectives
  • Ability to think proactively and be very thorough
  • Proficient in copywriting with excellent proofreading and editing skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong follow-through
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-driven, organized, and able to work independently
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel Software
  • Previous hotel/hospitality marketing experience a plus
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, marketing, or a related field
