This position has responsibility for oversight and delivery of all IT related aspects of a major organizational initiative, including hiring staff, managing the budget, scope, and schedule, and advertising the program to potential participants. The duties include: 1) setting the scope and strategic direction for the program; 2) setting deadlines and delegating tasks to team members to ensure execution of the overall program; 3) coordination amongst the multiple, individual project elements of the program and other corporate project efforts; and 4) overall governance of the IT program aspects utilizing Eversource standards and methodologies to ensure successful completion. The individual will manage the program and other related initiatives under the direction of the Vice President, IT Program Management Office (PMO) and Next Gen Delivery. They will be supported by multiple project managers and other staff. They will work in conjunction with the IT Program Management Office. This role requires close collaboration with business partners across the entire enterprise dependent upon the assigned initiative but likely to include employees and management from Customer, Corporate Communications, Community Relations, Engineering, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Legal, Procurement, Regulatory among others. Essential Functions: Provide overall strategic direction and leadership and lead the project team(s) to successful execution of the program’s goals. Develop, track, and evaluate programs designed to help achieve department and/or enterprise business goals and objectives. Continuously oversee management and analysis of program’s progress against budget, schedule, and scope and look for improvement opportunities. Coordinate alignment of the individual project components of the program to ensure quality delivery of the overall program’s goals. Work with the IT PMO to ensure adherence to IT related project delivery standards and methodologies. Ensure all company and IT related policies are adhered to in the delivery of the program. Create and managed complex budgets and business plans for units related to project development and implementation. Manage and administer a large and diverse team of professional, technical, support staff and contractors, both directly and indirectly, through managers and supervisors. Integrate and direct a cross-functional project team responsible for all aspects of implementation of a diverse and complex portfolio of related development and deployment activities. Oversee the management and development of project management staff. Assess the need for, and oversee implementation of, programs to ensure employees possess the technical, interpersonal, and organizational skills required to support operating plans. Manage, select, coach, and develop area staff. Demonstrate ability to achieve and influence results through others both those internal and external to IT including building and maintaining collaborative, high-level relationships with business areas and vendors. Coordinate with numerous internal stakeholders involved in project design, planning, execution, and executive oversight. Partner with other departments in IT and with other business areas to ensure that the program’s projects meet the expectations of the business areas and are completed in a timely manner. Communicate vision and objectives of the program to internal and external audiences, including senior leadership. Effectively communicate with executives and subordinates to establish and maintain a high level of motivation, sense of direction and cross-functional participation in the program. Prepare and deliver in writing and orally clear, concise and comprehensive reports on project status to executive leadership. Ensure the development and implementation of organizational change management strategies to ensure effective and efficient adoption of new technology tools and related business processes. Participate in industry forums as applicable to support the Company’s position contributing to industry best practices. Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications: Technical Knowledge/Skill: Requires practical knowledge of strategic and tactical planning. Experience developing and implementing Enterprise-wide projects, strategies and governance Knowledge in applications development and support along with excellent communications skills. Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, related discipline, or equivalent experience Master’s Degree preferred Experience

: A minimum of 12 years of related experience of increasing responsibility in managing one or more major information technology functions. Must have at least 5+ years of experience working in an IT outsourced mode At least 10 years of experience working on large, complex IT projects. Licenses & Certifications: Project management (PMP) certification is preferred. Working Conditions: Must be available to work emergency storm assignment as required. Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary. Work hours may need to flex / adapt to the program challenges / needs at the time. OT may be required during implementations and other program times to meet deadlines. Mental Aspects
