About the Role This position will be served on-site at our G.D. facility located in Richmond, VA, with a direct report our G.D. U.S.A Finance Manager, as well as cross-functionally with our North America & Mexico FP&A Manager. It will be responsible for the FP&A activity of G.D. USA in close connections and coordination with the business group’s Site Controller. The position will manage business and corporate financial requirements related to close activities, cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analysis. Main responsibilities include and are not limited to: Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards. Perform ongoing analysis and reporting of actual performance to budgets and forecast. Prepare and investigate monthly variance analysis. Review and analyze inventory and margin reports, conduct research, and perform analytical studies. Help to create and maintain robust industrial control and cost accounting procedures and analysis; this includes assessment of industrial margin by product lines and key projects, gross margin variations in term of labor/rate under-over absorption, project variances, late and warranty costs. Support the assessment and maintenance of the hourly rate and cost run procedures in line with Coesia Financial Manual and guidelines. Partnering with local and corporate business management and conducting financial analysis to improve results. Partnering with corporate finance to efficiently process transactions and fulfil reporting requirements. Responsible for all month-end reporting requirements for G.D. U.S.A. to include financials, capital expenditures, INCO, and IFRS data. Responsible for margin analysis reporting for G.D. U.S.A. spares, rebuilds, and APS. Partner with G.D. U.S.A. site controller to update budget/forecasts for all G.D. U.S.A. businesses. Developing, improving, and documenting processes while sharing best practices. What You Need to Be Successful Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance strongly preferred. Minimum of 2-5 years in an accounting role. Financial software (Excel, manufacturing ERP), developing standards. Manufacturing/Cost Accounting experience preferred. Knowledge of and/or prior experience using SAP is preferred. Detail oriented, exhibit high integrity, accountability, and initiative. Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
