Our client is seeking an experienced Fortinet Network Engineer. The role requires customer facing meetings with customers, providing service, and consulting for small to medium businesses.
Responsibilities:Experience in consulting, ability to work well in multiple client settings.Provide end-to-end client support with a broad-based IT background with a technical understanding of networks, protocols, security configurations, and identity and access management.Exposure to networking with the ability to troubleshoot common networking issues.Work with Fortinet products experience (Experience with Fortinet products: FortiOS, FortiAnalyzer, FortiGate, FortiNAC, etc)Experience installing, configuring, and managing physical network equipmentAbility to design, configure, maintain, and monitor WAN and VPN connections to remote divisions requiring a core knowledge of Thin Client, TCP/IP, IPSEC, SSL, RDP and VPN protocols.Implement and support backup and disaster recovery solutions such as Veeam Backup & Replication.
Requirements:Minimum five years of experience in a dynamic network engineer roleMust have Fortinet experience, especially for small to medium size businessMust be able to work systems in addition to networkStrong verbal and written communication skillsTeam player with an enthusiastic achievement driven attitudeFirewalls/switches (Cisco, Fortinet, HP, and Meraki experience preferred)Experience with systems (Microsoft, Security products for SMB, virtualization)
Educational/Certifications:Bachelor's degree from a four-year college/university in Information Systems or EngineeringCertifications are preferredWillingness to earn new vendor certifications is preferredRole is fully onsite until 6 month review, then hybrid
