Position Summary

The Wealth Management Advisor is responsible for developing strong customer relationships and earning customer trust. This position works one-on one with clients and their families to design investment strategies to meet the client's needs and assist them in achieving their financial goals.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Partner with Trust Officers and broader Client Service Team to strengthen client relationships
  2. Partner with team to uncover client needs and deliver solutions
  3. Responsible for investments of clients on their discretionary investment accounts
  4. Schedule client meetings periodically
  5. Handle sensitive, confidential, proprietary information with discretion
  6. Monitor investment performance and asset allocation
  7. Prepare investment reviews
  8. Respond to in-bound requests for investment service
  9. Travel to various bank branches on a recurring basis to educate local branches about services available to clients
  10. Travel to bank branches and/or client sites to serve existing clients as well as to develop new client relationships

Other Responsibilities
  • Support and promote the Bank vision, mission and core values, organizational structure and policies and procedures.
  • Comply with federal and state regulations as well as all established Bank policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Education and Experience Requirements
  • Must have excellent analysis, observation and decision making skills.
  • Highly focused, able to rapidly determine key priorities, clearly communicate the priorities and ensure resources are properly aligned.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are necessary for maintaining effective relationships with clients, board members, officers, employees, and members of the business and civic community.
  • Individual should be able to work under high pressure situations and a stressful atmosphere and then should remain composed.
  • Provides a strong, compassionate and visible leadership, which fosters positive attitudes and trust among employees, customers, and prospects
  • Knowledge of investment markets
  • Knowledge of wealth management including investments, trusts and financial planning
  • Ability to work in a team based environment
  • Operational and/or Client service experience
  • Experience in Asset/Wealth Management/Brokerage environment
  • Experience interfacing with outside vendors (i.e. Custodians, Fund companies/Administrators)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, finance concentration preferred or asset/wealth management experience
  • Ability to engage an audience and possess effective presentation skills
  • Microsoft Suite of applications proficiency
  • Knowledge of general office procedures (e.g., filing, correspondence, scheduling, expenses, calendar)
  • Excellent telephone etiquette
  • Progress toward CFA or CFP preferred
  • Will be required have or obtain a Series 65 license or higher
  • Must be able to be physically present in the Bank to perform job duties.
