Involves considerable interaction with permitting agencies, utilities, County departments, and public/private entities. Key Responsibilities: Supervising subordinate Project Engineers, consultants, contractors, and staff in project planning, design, and construction. Reviewing various reports and plans such as site plans, construction plans, storm water reports, etc. Coordinating permit applications with other divisions, agencies, and departments. Conducting various meetings related to planning, design, and construction. Monitoring construction schedules, expenditures, and compliance with project budgets. Directing project activities from start to finish, ensuring adherence to schedules and budgets. Negotiating proposals, contracts, agreements, and change orders. Performing project management and administration tasks from development through implementation. Adjusting project plans as needed to address unforeseen circumstances. Reviewing and executing project closeout documents. Developing technical reports, presentations, and attending meetings to present information. Performing acceptance inspections for projects constructed by others. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET accredited college/university. 6 years of experience in review, design, and/or construction of roads, drainage, subdivisions, and/or commercial developments. Valid Florida Driver’s License. Licensed as a Professional Engineer in the State of Florida.
