Become an integral part of our journey as we collaboratively Form Our Future Together, setting the stage for a new era in semiconductor excellence.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Owner for several processes/tools in the Probehead line such as the electrical testing processes/tools, SPI/AOI inspection tools, solder paste dispensing and component placement tools. Responsible for the sustaining & improving the process. Work closely with peers to either utilize existing processes and/or equipment or develop new processes and/or equipment to meet requirements driven by new products and technology roadmaps. Recommend strategy in manufacturing to reduce cost, improve cycle time, and increase yield. Owner for internal and external 8D reporting for quality events assigned to manufacturing engineering. Provide the first point of contact for Product Quality or Field failures related to probehead or wafer manufacturing. Organize first-level data package and response. Works closely with manufacturing engineers in determining corrective actions for quality event. Drive task forces investigating manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions using 8D methodology. Manage Probehead line move as part of the manufacturing expansion plans. Drive the planning and Equipment Facilities requirements to procure, install, qualify manufacturing equipment. Comfortable working in a cross-functional team setting up the equipment requirements with different process module owners, Facilities and EH&S assuring tools meet all health and safety standards.EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED B.S./ MS degree in Electrical Engineering, MEMS, Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, or a related Engineering field. 5+ years' experience in production quality engineering, program management, and process development and transfer to production. Experience with advanced electronic or MEMS packaging desired. Experience in any of the following preferred: flying probe testing, Surface Mount Technologies (SMT), thermal reflow, solder paste dispensing, automated component attach, and SPI/AOI. Experience in use of Statistical Process Control and Design of Experiments; quality and continuous improvement methodologies such as Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Root-cause Analysis (RCA), and/or Lean Manufacturing, 5's, 8D, JMP and AutoCAD software's. Strong communication, data analysis, design of experiment (DOE) and statistical process control (SPC) skills are required. Work experience with the development of new process technology and capabilities and successful transfer from pilot to high-volume capability. Experience in equipment procurement, installation (new and existing equipment moves), qualification, and ramp into HVM. Experience with leadership of cross-functional projects to successfully solve integration challenges. Experience with Lean Six Sigma Manufacturing principles and practices.The pay range for this role in Livermore is between $136,200 and $178,815. The pay range may differ in other locations. FormFactor maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in education, training, skills, relevant work experience, business needs and market demands. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
