As a Business Development Associate at JM Search, you are responsible for supporting business development efforts by preparing pitch materials, managing metrics, data and reporting, outreach, and client engagement. Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct industry, company and individual executive research and analysis that helps Search Executives focus on the best business development opportunities based on practice wide and individual targets.
  • Coordinate and drive business development activities against current clients, recent and past clients, and high potential prospects.
  • Help Search Executives with pre-sales target identification, pitch content and deck preparation, post-meeting and event follow up, correspondence and information entry into the JM Search database.
  • Collaborate across practices to proactively seek new business development opportunities.
  • Track and maintain all business development opportunities in JM Search databases.
  • Analyze and report on business development performance.
  • Work closely with Practice Leader and Partners on creating industry specific content marketing and thought leadership materials in the form of articles, interviews etc.
  • Create, manage, and help execute an annual marketing calendar for the Practice (includes placement posts on LinkedIn, dates for dropping thought leadership articles and blog posts, events, and email campaigns throughout the year).
  • Deploy and track effectiveness of outreach campaigns.
  • Work with the Marketing team to ensure consistency with JM Search messaging and brand positioning.
  • Identify business development opportunities within relevant conferences, hosted events, sponsorships and speaking opportunities.
  • Provide support to optimize investments in conferences, hosted events and sponsorships.
  • Maximize event participation with follow up and outcomes tracking to determine ROI.
  • Work with the Marketing team to establish opportunities for Practice Leader and Partner speaking and moderating opportunities at appropriate conferences that JM Search is sponsoring.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred; competitive intelligence/knowledge management advanced studies a plus.
  • Recruiting and/or executive search experience preferred.
  • Effective writing and editing skills coupled with outstanding attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple research projects at once.
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must have proficiency in Internet research, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
