The Activity Director is responsible for the overall planning and implementation of the activity program designed to meet the social, physical, intellectual, recreational, and spiritual needs of residents.
Qualifications:
An Associates degree in recreation therapy or related field is recommended or NCCAP Certification (National Certification Council for Activity Professionals)
At least 2 years experience in a long term care activity department preferred
Activity certification or course completion preferred
Background in music, art, drama, and dance therapy preferred
Able to flex hours to accommodate residents needs for evening, weekend, special events, and holiday events
