Monitor and observe guests cafe experience. Ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service. Respond promptly and courteously to any requests. Preparing foods, such as sandwiches or baked goods, and grinding and blending coffee beans, brewing coffee and tea. Selling coffee and tea blends and brewing equipment, highlighting the differences between items, and educating customers about brewing methods. Learning about brewing methods, beverage blends, food preparation, and presentation techniques to improve food quality. Taking inventory and replenishing items based on business levels in display cases or behind the cafe.Working Conditions: Be able to safely lift up to 25 pounds Considerable repetitive motion of hands, wrists, shoulders and back is required Workplace is a fast paced environment with considerable movement throughout the shift; requires standing and walking 95% of the workday Team members must have a flexible work schedule and ability to work nights, weekends and holidaysQualifications Previous barista experience is preferred Upon selection able to complete the Responsible Vendor course for all team members 18 years old and above A basic knowledge of food & beverage procedures and functions Possess basic math skills and can handle money and operate a point-of-sale system Positive Attitude
