Our client, an employee-owned global professional services firm, is dedicated to delivering innovative and creative solutions for their clients. They are currently seeking a Senior Environmental Compliance Project Manager for their Memphis, Tennessee office.

This position is ideal for an Environmental Compliance professional with at least seven years of experience, who is eager to stay at the forefront of emerging technologies through continuous professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing environmental compliance reports in accordance with local, state, and federal requirements (e.g., RCRA, CAA, CWA, EPCRA).
  • Traveling periodically to client locations across the U.S. to conduct environmental compliance audits or assist clients with specific environmental compliance tasks.
  • Developing stormwater pollution prevention plans (SWPPPs), spill prevention control and countermeasure (SPCC) plans, and hazardous waste contingency plans (HWCPs).
  • Preparing environmental permit applications for air emissions, stormwater discharges, and wastewater discharges.
  • Managing projects while mentoring junior-level staff.
  • Ensuring corrective and preventive actions are taken to address non-conformance issues at client sites.
  • Assisting with labor/material estimates and proposal preparation.
  • In some cases, providing clients with project management, coordination, and implementation of comprehensive project work related to environmental regulatory compliance and permitting.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a BS in environmental science, engineering, or a related field.
  • At least seven years of experience in the environmental field.
  • Strong consulting and problem-solving skills.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer preferred.
  • Preferred experience includes:
    • SPCC requirements
    • EPCRA 312 and 313 reporting
    • Hazardous waste requirements
    • Air emission source permitting
    • Stormwater/wastewater (NPDES) permitting
    • Compliance auditing
