Job Title: X-Ray Technologist

Job Description

Update patient information in Medent EMR system. Provide good bedside care to the patients and explain procedures to them. Operate digital X-ray system and imaging equipment efficiently for orthopedic patients. Clarify and follow Doctors orders, and scan needed information in PACS. Produce quality diagnostic images for interpretation, such as positioning and technique. Maintain x-ray room cleanliness after exams and procedures. Obtain patient information and chart notes for fluoroscopy procedures. Document fluoroscopy time and scan paperwork for Radiologist. Demonstrate knowledge and compliance with safety, OSHA, and HIPPA regulations. Perform daily, monthly, semi-annual, and annual Quality Control. Work with multiple specialties in the office including orthopedics, podiatry, pain management, and spinal care.

Hard Skills

Work Environment

Working independently after training to cover site on your own. Doctors rotate between sites with varying workloads. Averages of 300-400 patients in all offices for a normal week. Sparta and Hackettstown are the busiest offices, while Morristown and others are slower-paced. Building out new Sparta X-Ray room to have 2 techs. SHIFT: 4 days/10 hour shifts: Monday in Sparta, Tuesday off, Wednesday in Morristown, Thursday in Morristown, Friday in Hackettstown. Weekends needed when permanent but not when on contract, rotating 8-12pm once every 6 weeks.
