Position Overview:
As a vital member of the healthcare team, the Radiology Technician will operate within the Cleveland Heights Health Center, providing essential imaging services to a diverse patient population.
Work Schedule:
Biweekly Hours: 80.00
Shift: 8 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday with rotating second shift weekends.
Incentives:

Role Responsibilities:
The Radiology Technician will gain comprehensive experience in both CT and X-Ray modalities. As part of an academic medical center, the MetroHealth System is dedicated to the professional development of its staff. All necessary training will be provided.
Patient Demographics:
The technician will serve a variety of patients, including:
- Underserved populations in the Greater Cleveland area
- Trauma and emergency patients
- Stroke and cancer patients
- Orthopedic, podiatric, neurological, and rehabilitation patients
Key Skills and Competencies:
The role requires proficiency in:
- Understanding human anatomy and physiology
- Performing IV starts
- Producing high-quality CT and X-Ray images
- Coordinating patient scheduling for both inpatients and outpatients
- Educating patients about procedures and equipment
- Critical thinking and effective communication
- Functioning well under pressure
- Collaborating with the CT/X-Ray team
Collaboration:
The Radiology Technician will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, physicians, and respiratory therapists, to ensure optimal patient care.
Acknowledgments:
The unit is recognized for its commitment to quality, with all CT scanners being ACR accredited and all technologists holding ARRT credentials.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program
- Registered Radiology Technologist with ARRT
- ARRT CT credential or the ability to obtain within one year
- Valid Ohio Radiographer License
- BLS Certification from the American Heart Association or the ability to obtain during the probationary period
Preferred:
- One year of relevant experience and advanced ARRT certification in CT
Physical Demands:
- Ability to sit, stand, stoop, bend, and move throughout the day
- Capability to lift, pull, or push over 50 lbs
- Visual and auditory acuity within normal ranges
