Human Resources Specialist

Principle Tasks

  • Maintain and ensure confidentiality of employee records and documentation such as terminations, performance reports, offer letters, and compensation information
  • Assist with the recruitment process, such as writing job descriptions, contacting references, conducting background checks, and communicating with applicants
  • Conduct on-boarding for new employees, including enrolling them in benefits
  • Organize employee training and development opportunities
  • Facilitate HR programs and functions under the direction of HR Manager
  • Track HR metrics for grants and other compliance needs
  • Coordinate employee events and recognition programs
  • Research HR issues and federal and state regulations to improve HR processes and policies
  • Champion diversity, inclusion, and equity
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Maintain professional integrity and maturity when handling sensitive information
  • Agility to shift seamlessly from strategic HR matters to tactical compliance elements and maintain knowledge and interest in both ends of this spectrum of essential tasks

Edu/ Training/ Exp Required

  • High School Diploma/GED required. Prefer Bachelors degree in business administration, human resources, or related field from an accredited college or university
  • 3+ years of experience in HR discipline
  • Advanced use of Microsoft Suite to perform clerical and administrative activities
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with a variety of employees, managers, and customers
  • Strong organizational, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality
  • Valid Drivers license
  • You must be a Citizen or Permanent Resident of the US

Desired Industry Certification

  • PHR/SPHR certification preferred

Additional Information/Requirements

Must be willing to relocate to and work onsite in Albuquerque, NM.
