Marcum Search is working with a distinguished, full-service law firm in West Los Angeles (hybrid) who has a need for a Sr Marketing & Business Development Manager who will work directly with the CMO to implement marketing and business development strategies, drive key initiatives, and manage the operations of the Marketing Department. The Sr Marketing & Business Development Manager will manage 2 specialists and 1 assistant and is responsible for fostering a collaborative and high-performing team.Responsibilities for Sr Marketing & Business Development Manager:Work closely with CMO to prepare annual marketing/BD plan and budget, as well as drive execution, monitor results and track associated budget.Manage the firms public relations activities, including coordinating with public relations consultants on awards submissions, article placement, speaking engagements and press releases.Manage client pitch presentations, RFPs and other pitch/proposal requests with the assistance of the Business Development Specialist.Proactively implement effective marketing and business development strategies for practice groups.Manage content strategy, including email communications, distribution channels (JD Supra, Lexology, Mondaq, Primerus, World Law Group), and other content opportunities.Oversees daily operations and monitors marketing teams work product, including delegation of work to other team members.Drafts content for marketing collateral materials, including the firms internal website, external website, and ensure all relevant practice materials are updated.Qualifications for Sr Marketing & Business Development Manager:Bachelor's degree from an accredited college, preferably in marketing, communication, or related field. J.D., M.B.A, or other Masters degree may substitute for required experience.6+ years of marketing and business development experience with prior managerial responsibilities.Broad experience with events, sponsorships, public relations, pitches, business developmentLaw firm experience is REQUIRED.Excellent writing, proofreading, and critical thinking skills.Strong computer and technology skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, CRM and experience management tools.Understanding of the local/regional market for legal services and competitive landscape.Supervisory and project management experience is required.An eye for graphic design and experience using Canva and/or Photoshop.Marcum Search is an Equal Opportunity EmployerMarcum Search does not discriminate on the basis of race, ancestry, national origin, color, religion, gender, age, marital status, sexual orientation, disability, veteran status, or any other protected classification under the law.Salary: $120-145k.
