Responsible for general receptionist, registration, and billing duties in a physician office setting.

Principal Accountabilities:

+ Assists patients with appointment scheduling

+ Checks patients in/out in EPIC

+ Transcribes orders

+ Manages referrals

+ Monitors and schedules PT online appointment request portal

+ Runs estimates, collects co-pays and up front balances

+ Addresses EPIC work queues and maintains them in good standing

+ Manages departmental phone lines

+ Monitors appointment reminder system

+ Orders office and clinical supplies as needed

+ Assists patients with problem solving issues related to scheduling, registration, insurance, copays, etc.

+ Provides excellent customer service

+ Completes all AHS and role specific mandatory trainings

+ Assists with insurance responsibilities as needed (depending on site volumes)

+ Maintains proper communication with supervisor and staff, including email correspondence and others in a timely manner

+ Performs other administrative tasks as needed

Required:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent experience

2. Prior administrative experience in a physician practice strongly preferred

3. Knowledge of computerized scheduling & EMR system a plus

Preferred:

1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills

2. Individual must be customer and employee focused, must have demonstrated ability to multi-task

3. Bilingual
