Position Summary:
The Credit Collections department provides functional support, as part of the Finance team, in the areas of Accounts/Receivables along with Credit Risk Management. As the Senior Credit Manager, this position will support the Regional Credit Manager with AR portfolio management and assist the credit team in supporting sales efforts while managing credit risks. The selected candidate will assist with the on-going management, improvement and business operational results of the credit collections team. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to make sound credit decision while maintaining positive customer relationships.
Duties:
- Support the Regional Credit Manager with coaching, training and development of the Credit Managers to ensure the highest level of collections
- Could possibly lead up to 3 Credit Analyst
- Manage assigned AR portfolio consisting of National Account relationships and large VIP accounts statewide in accordance with company policy
- Manage the commercial job account portfolio which includes the review and approval process while maintaining full lien or bond rights in compliance with state laws
- Provide support to the region for credit extension and the collection of A/R. This includes outbound collection calls (B2B) and full financial statement analysis to determine appropriate risk
- Work closely with CE regional teams (Credit, Finance, Sales, Operations) to resolve credit and collection issues
- Demonstrate commitment towards process excellence and a willingness to challenge existing processes. Take the initiative to identify areas of opportunity and innovative ways of doing business
- Provide regular reporting of AR status, regional/collector metrics, forecasting and identifying trends. Ad-hoc reports to management as needed
- Attend sales and customer meetings pertaining to credit matters
- Analyze collection processes and establish best practices
- Convey a strong sense of urgency and drive issues to closure
- Update Regional Credit Manager and Florida Leadership team on risk assessment matters and recommended approach in addressing toward resolution
- Manage additional special projects as assigned

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business/finance is preferred
- 6+ years of practical and progressive management and leadership experience in credit and collections with increasing levels of responsibilities
- Experience building and managing teams
- Ability to meet short- and long-term project deadlines with positive results
- Prior experience in distribution or HVACindustry preferred but not required
- In depth knowledge of the Florida Construction Lien Law
