USALCO Baltimore Plant, LLC is a major unit within the manufacturing network of a leading provider of aluminum-based component products used in water treatment, pulp and paper manufacturing, the making of catalysts for oil refining, the housing market and other sectors.

JOB SUMMARY:

The person in this role is responsible for continuously improving the production activities for the Baltimore Site, while assuring compliance is achieved in all company associated policies.

The position requires a motivated, detail oriented, and results driven team player who:

Incorporates safety and quality into every decision while performing day-to-day activities Maintains superior communications with Engineering, Finance, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality, R&D, Transportation and outside vendors. Will actively seek out opportunities for process improvement and take responsibility for their implementation

The employee in this position will be a positive-natured, task-oriented individual with operating and administrative experience.

The person must possess excellent communication and people skills necessary to work with all departments at the site. The individual will be a creative and entrepreneurial thinker.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBITIES:

Meeting all safety requirements of job functions being performed,

and ensuring contractors under your supervision follow all OSHA safety

standards. Working closely with site management team and employees to determine their needs to prioritize and improve processes opportunities within the site. Using a continuous improvement mindset to help increase safety, quality, profitability, efficiency and productivity through technology, personnel training and process improvement. Perform project engineering and management duties for capital projects engaged to meet USALCO goals and objectives. Duties include but are not limited to the following: developing project schedule, project budget, scope of work, AFE Request, evaluating potential contractors, reviewing bid documents, overseeing general contractors, designing new equipment and fixtures, designing material flow and storage capacities, installing equipment, maintaining cost targets, validating equipment, training associates and developing preventive maintenance schedules Must be

able to work overtime, provide physical labor and work changing shifts as

required to meet business requirements.

Perform

other duties as assigned in support of business goals and objectives.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

Requires organizational and planning skills Must be dependable, flexible and able to respond on short notice to satisfy requirements of customers. Requires good interpersonal and communication skills. Strong Analytical and Mathematical aptitude Well written

EDUCATION:

A BS Degree in Manufacturing, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, preferred Experience with LEAN manufacturing and Six Sigma, preferred

EXPERIENCE:

Manufacturing, Chemical, Pharmaceutical or Food manufacturing environment, preferred 3 to 10 years of experience NSF and ISO processes with procedure and audit experience Ability to effectively work with Microsoft Office Applications at a high-level proficiency Preferred Software Experience -Maintain X &ROSS

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The Ability to:

Routinely lift 50 to 75 lbs. throughout the shift Routinely stand 60 to 70% of shift Routinely traverse the ~20-acre site to various buildings Routinely have to traverse ship ladders, catwalks and close quarters Work at elevated platforms as high as 150 without hesitation or fear Work inside confined spaces, as needed
