-Manage distribution operations by training, delegating, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing all policies and procedures.

-Achieve operational objectives by contributing operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews.

-Prepare and complete action plans; implement production, fulfillment productivity methods, to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost standards.

-Resolve problems using lean tool set, complete audits, identify trends, and share best practices with peers.

-Meet overall distribution operations financial objectives by forecasting labor requirements; participate in the annual budget process; schedule capital expenditures; analyze variances; initiate corrective action plans.

-Develop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements; develop, implement, enforce, and evaluate policies and procedures; deploy company processes for receiving product, equipment utilization, inventory management, and shipping. Work closely with peers from other facilities.

-Develop warehouse design by planning layout, product flow, and product handling systems, evaluate and recommend new equipment.

-Improve warehouse operations system by analyzing process workflow, manning and space requirements, and equipment layout, implement changes as necessary.

-Coordinate activities of Warehouse with activities of sales, inventory control, and purchasing departments to ensure availability of merchandise.

-Maintain safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures, comply with all legal regulations. Ensure that all employees are treated equally and ethically.

-Stay up-to-date with industry trends by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and maintaining personal networks.

-Collaborate with local sales and supply chain teams to ensure optimal outcomes for customers and the company.

-Promote a culture of safety by implementing and enforcing safety standards.

-Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience opening a new facility
High school diploma or GED

5+ years of warehouse operations experience

5+ years supervisory experience

Kaizen experience

Experience with Gemba walks
