Key Responsibilities
  • Material Movement: Safely and efficiently move materials throughout the facility, utilizing equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
  • Inventory Management: Count and verify the weight or measure of incoming and outgoing items, comparing information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other identifying records.
  • Quality Control: Inspect products to ensure they meet standards, are not damaged, or there are no shortages, and communicate with suppliers to rectify any deficiencies.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate equipment safely and efficiently, including forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, or dollies, to move or reorganize storage.
  • Cargo Security: Ensure cargo is secured properly and safely, with weight evenly distributed for transport.
  • Order Fulfillment: Fill orders and issue materials and supplies per requests, document transactions appropriately, prepare requisitions, and compute costs.
Requirements
  • Valid Driver's License: Possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Fast-Paced Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, performing repetitive tasks.
  • Computer Skills: Ability to find information, document relevant information, and knowledge of computers.
  • Communication: Ability to retain information and communicate effectively.
  • Lifting Ability: Ability to lift up to 23kg (50lbs).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Forklift and Overhead Crane Certificates: Possession of valid forklift and overhead crane certificates is an asset.
  • Production Experience: 1-3 years' experience in a production environment.
