Principal Accountabilities

Reviews and/or prepares transactions for entry, posts entries upon approval, collects and evaluates data, conducts analysis, and prepares reports.

Reviews and verifies the accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications assigned to various records. Reports inconsistencies to higher level associates.

Assists with the preparation of general ledger account reconciliations.

Assists in analyzing financial reports and records, making studies or recommendations relative to the recording of financial transactions.

Maintains records of routine accounting transactions.

Prepares schedules with supporting documentation to external auditors.

Responsible for comparing accounting system outputs with daily input verifying for accuracy and resolves discrepancies.

Assists in preparation of financial and operating reports including trial balances, adjustments and closing entries.

Interprets and communicates financial reports and results for managers.

Conducts or assists in the documentation/support of accounting projects of varying complexity.

Performs other duties as assigned.
