Collins Community Credit Union, a growing organization, is currently recruiting for a Real Estate Loan Officer. This position will take place at our Mills Civic branch in Des Moines. This person will be a competitive, independent, "doer" who can problem solve and get things done through people. In this role, you will promote and provide credit union products and services to new and existing members with referrals to appropriate departments when necessary. This position is responsible for originating first mortgages while working effectively with a team of employees and is responsible for ensuring that outstanding service is delivered to both internal and external members.

Qualified candidates should have strong written and verbal communication skills, be detail oriented and reliable, be able to multi-task, and have a positive attitude A minimum of 2 years experience originating or working in a Real Estate type environment is preferred.

Must be available to work during business hours:

  • Monday - Thursday 8:00am - 5:00 pm
  • Friday 8:00am - 5:30 pm
  • Flextime as needed to originate business.
Real Estate Loan Officer Requirements:
  • Responsible for building member relationships by actively uncovering and evaluating members' financial needs, offering products/services to meet those needs and answer members; questions regarding Credit Union services.
  • Develops and maintains successful relationships with business referral sources, existing and prospective Credit Union members.
  • Originates secondary market and in-house mortgage loans.
  • Utilizes Credit Union training materials, reference tools and other resources to provide accurate and up-to-date loan program/policy information to internal and external members.
  • Ensures exceptional member experience by overseeing loan process from origination to close and providing on-going communication to customers and business partners.
  • Responsible for exceptional member service to every member, every time by ensuring that consistently high-quality service is being delivered to both internal and external members.
  • Meet or exceed established individual sales and service goals.
