The Impact You Can Make

Responsible for supporting the Director of Volunteer Services with the overall operations and coordination of the Volunteer Services Department and Amanda's House. This includes but is not limited to; general office management, coordination, and management of the GFH volunteer database, scheduling of volunteers and pet therapy teams, professionally interacting with the GFH volunteer team, prospective volunteers, GFH staff, visitors, and guests of Amanda's House. Acts as a liaison between the Volunteer Services Dept. and all the GFH departments it supports through promoting positive and constructive relationships. Supports the Dir. of Vol. Svs. with the coordination of daily operations of Amanda's House and implements and organizes procedures for guest services. Supports oversight of the GFH Junior Volunteer Program including assisting with interviewing, placement, and training of all teens. Shared responsibility for the daily operations of Volunteer Services Department including the expedition of workflow through the Director's office by screening calls and visitors. Supports GFH fundraisers, recognition events, Red Cross Blood Drives, and others as needed.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/ GED with three years of relevant experience in office organization, project management, volunteer services, human services, and training and motivating personnel required in lieu of Associate's Degree
  • Associate's Degree Required if no relevant experience
  • Bachelor's degree and/or healthcare/human services experience preferred

Salary Range
The expected base rate for this Glens Falls, New York, United States-based position is $18.14 to $27.20 per hour. Exact rate is determined on a case-by-case basis commensurate with experience level, as well as education and certifications pertaining to each position which may be above the listed job requirements.
