**Job Function**:
Assure that an on-going program of activities is designed to meet, in accordance with the comprehensive assessment, the interests and the physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being of each resident.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Assist the Activities Director in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and performing the activity programs of this facility
- Assist in the development, administering, and coordinating of department policies and procedures.
- Carry out schedule activities and assist in planning events for patient
- Encourage patients to participate in hobbies, crafts, events and services. Provide materials as necessary
- Meet with the administration, medical and nursing staff, as well as other related departments in planning activity programs
- Participate in regularly scheduled reviews of patient discharge plans
- Assist with the Center’s employee moral programs and committees to plan events and show staff appreciation
- Assist in decorating the Center for various seasons/holiday
- Assist in standardizing the methods in which activity programs will be performed and/or administered
- Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment throughout the facility

**Required**:

- Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)
- Available to regularly work weekends; anticipated work schedule is Saturday-Wednesday 9am-4:30pm
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
- Must possess a valid AZDPS fingerprint clearance card
