Inside Sales Representative

**POSITION PURPOSE**:
The **Inside Sales Representative** is responsible for supporting all sales and marketing programs for lntelliNet-related products in the United States and Canada. S/he is responsible for ensuring that the team achieves desired sales results and objectives in a defined geographic region by maintaining and strengthening existing dealer relationships while proactively pursuing new dealer opportunities. S/he will do this by working closely with their respective outside Regional Sales Manager.
- ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:_
The following list of essential job functions is not exhaustive and may be supplemented as necessary.
1. Meet and/or exceed revenue and sales quotas.
2. Complete sales proposals for new prospective dealers and yearly product blanket orders.
3. Generate revenue by calling/prospecting for new customers (lead follow-ups, prospecting, qualifying).
4. Directly interact with prospects to position the value of our products and services.
5. Perform outbound calling to existing customers in order to inform them of new products, continuously build the relationship, and demonstrate the value of all AES products.
6. Coordinate and plan customer technical support training and site certifications where required.
7. Provide input in developing sales channel support tools and input in the marketing planning and implementation activities for the region.
9. Support participation in events and promotions.
10. Contribute to a team selling environment.
11. Perform other relevant duties as needed.
**REQUIRED SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY**
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some combination of skills and abilities.
1. Exposure to technical system products, preferably in security or wireless markets.
2. Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy.
3. Sales skills, excellent overall business skills, and good negotiating skills.
4. Proven strong telesales/phone skills including strong prospecting and cold calling skills.
5. Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with all business partners including outside sales staff.
**QUALIFICATION STANDARDS**
**Education**:
- A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience is required.
**Experience**:
- A minimum of 5 years’ sales experience.
- Selling security or wireless products a plus.
