Accounting Specialist Ii

**Major Responsibilities**
- Post daily deposits
- Generate invoices, track and report backlog
- Communicate with clients about billing discrepancies and questions
- Initiate collections on past-due accounts
- Interface with Sales department on a routine basis
- Enter and maintain records in Enterprise system (Peachtree)
- Handle all special billing situations
- Audit ledgers to ensure they contain correct information, such as billing addresses and invoice numbers
- Special projects as assigned
**Skills and Qualifications**
- 4+ years’ experience in AR
- Advanced mathematical and logical deduction skills
- Proficient in Excel and creating Pivot Tables
- Experience with customer service and client communication
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Intermediate to advanced 10-key skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office Software
- Ability to create and edit Excel spreadsheets
- Familiarity with accounting software programs (Peachtree preferred)

**Work Environment**
This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
**Physical Demands**
This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.

Pay: $28.00 - $33.00 per hour
