The position involves working in an account management and business development capacity to grow sales and developing new business for a growing Asian food import and distribution company with 37 years of history in the business.

We are an essential business in a recession resistant industry that is growing faster than our peer group.

You will be required to:
1) Work with the management team to craft and implement sales and product marketing strategies to expand our footprint in Texas and surrounding states.

2) Travel to make customer visits both locally and outside of Texas. 75% local travel and occasional overnight travel will be required.

3) Use CRM/Salesforce management platforms to measure and increase sales performance

4) Maintain an active pipeline of new accounts and close new accounts monthly.

5) Participate in sales meetings and provide weekly written updates to management regarding sales progress and sales metrics.

6) Taking responsibility for sales forecasting and hitting sales growth targets

7) Assist with inventory management and product marketing functions

The Account Manager will report directly to the General Manager. This is a high-profile position within a firm where results are noticed.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum of 5 years of sales in a wholesale distribution business, preferably with food distribution experience.
- A strong work ethic and ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Willingness to travel up to 70% of the time in Texas and surrounding states.
- Ability to come to Los Angeles HQ for occasional sales meetings and training.
- Mandarin Chinese, Cantonese, or Vietnamese a big plus as many of our food products are labeled in Chinese or Vietnamese and many of our vendors in Asia only speak Chinese or Vietnamese.
- Strong background in computers and in using Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and ERP and CRM software.
