Job Description and Duties

The Office Technician (OT) is responsible for a variety of complex clerical duties for the Academy staff. The OT assists in conducting day-to-day operations of the Academy Clerical Unit while meeting deadlines and maintaining a high degree of professionalism. The OT reviews and edits typed projects to ensure appropriate format, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and compliance with departmental policies and procedures. When necessary, edit, format, and process hiring packages. The OT organizes essential paperwork, maintains databases, and monitors time frames on various recurring projects, and provides general clerical assistance, as needed. Additionally, the OT will sell lunch tickets, maintain a lunch ticket schedule, assist with subpoenas when needed, and provide receptionist coverage on a rotational basis.

Working Conditions

The Office Technician will work both indoors and outdoors. While indoors, the temperature and humidity are reasonably controlled and while outdoors, the employee is exposed to climatic conditions.
