rofessionals in their chosen field and we are looking for a Digital Video instructor who has experience in video editing with Adobe Premiere and/or DaVinci Resolve and with video production (DSLR cameras, lighting kits). Familiar with Mac systems, can work with mínimal curriculum/guidance. This will intially be a short term assignment (1-3 months) but potential for further instruction dependent on future variables.Instructor would be stepping into two classes, Digital Video 100 (51 hours) and Digital Video 110 (51 hours), both of which are introductory modules to the world of video, and would be happening towards the end of a larger 12 month Diploma program in Recording Arts that is focused primarily on Audio. Some curriculum development will be necessary but the framework for both classes exists, with well defined projects and assessments. The program teaches DAW's such as Pro Tools, Logic, and Ableton, as well as hands-on instruction in working studios with focus on Microphones, Signal Processing, Acoustics, Live Sound, Post-Production, and Music, as well as more general studies, including production, career planning, music business, songwriting, and music theory. Instructor would have access to classroom with a maximum of 15 students, all outfitted with Mac Mini M2's, which have Premiere and Resolve installed. Instructor would also have access to a Video Suite, which has a sizable inventory of camera and lighting equipment, and several kits for the students to check out during the course of the classes to work on projects outside of the facility. DUTIES
- Deliver existing content for DIV100 class and work with Chief Academic Officer and other key stakeholders to review and refine DIV110 content.
- Provide hands-on instruction to classes of approximately 10-15 students in various elements of video production.
- Teach students how to use and maintain photography equipment, including cameras, lenses, lighting, and editing software.
- Foster a creative and supportive learning environment that encourages student growth and experimentation.
- Evaluate and provide constructive feedback on student work to help them improve their skills.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance and progress.
