**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience advising students in a higher education/university environment.
- Experience in program development, implementation, and assessment.
- Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, as well as the ability to exercise good judgement.
- Ability to coordinate a variety of work activities and work as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends.
- Must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver’s license within 30 days of hire.

- Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration, Student Affairs, or related field.
- Experience in student organization advising.
- Ability to interact professionally with students, parents, staff at all levels, and the community.
- Experience building partnerships and collaborating across departments in a university setting.
- Experience developing and coordinating programs specific to non-traditional students.
- Experience in attending campus activities conferences and/or student affairs conferences.
- The Coordinator for Student Success will serve as a generalist in the Department of Student Success & Academic Services (SSAS) with oversight of co-curricular programs, student engagement, and support services that meet the needs of a growing and diverse student population at the Texas State University Round Rock Campus. The Coordinator will drive student connections to peers, faculty, staff, the university, and surrounding community and will work collaboratively with other staff to increase the campus’ enrollment, retention, and graduation rates. The Coordinator will report to the Director for Student Success and Academic Services.**Job Duties**

**Job Duties**:

- Work collaboratively with university stakeholders across academic services and student success units to create a holistic educational experience for students and increase student retention and graduation rates.
- Develop and implement student engagement opportunities designed to address the needs of Round Rock Campus students focused on advancing their personal, academic, and post-graduation success.
- Develop and implement campus-wide programs designed to foster community and create a sense of belonging.
- Maintain a close working relationship with the offices in the Division of Student Success, library, testing center, admissions, financial aid, advising, records and registration, and provide appropriate triage services as needed.
- Schedule and conduct individual and/or group meetings to provide appropriate referrals and resources to students.
- Attend staff meetings, assist with training programs for the campus community, and promote SSAS by speaking to classes, student organizations and other campus stakeholders.
- Establish collaborative relationships with key faculty and staff members to identify partnership opportunities to highlight SSAS services and strategies for student and academic success.
- Provide regular assessment of activities attendance, event participation and student experience feedback.
- Manage and coordinate social media, electronic communications, and campus engagement calendars.
- Represent SSAS by serving on university and division committees, teams, or task forces as assigned.
- Coordinate special projects and other duties as assigned.
