**CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT**
**Pre-employment Process**: Applicants must pass a background investigation, including DOJ/FBI clearance, credit check, physical examination and drug test prior to appointment.
- **Travel**: Travel throughout the County may be required. At the time of hire, a valid California Class C driver license and proof of automobile liability insurance may be required and must be maintained throughout the duration of employment for the individual providing the transportation.
**Promotion**: Incumbents in the class of Child Support Staff Training Instructor Trainee* are eligible for promotion to Child Support Staff Training Instructor* ($58,760.00 - $80,745.60 Annually) upon meeting the minimum qualifications for Child Support Staff Training Instructor and upon receipt of a satisfactory work progress report. Incumbents must promote within 12 months of hire or be terminated.
**Minimum Requirements**:
**Education**
**-AND-**
**Child Support Experience**
- Three (3) years full-time experience working as a Child Support Specialist I, Child Support Specialist II, or Supervising Child Support Specialist in a County agency overseen by the California Department of Child Support Services. (Each position held must be clearly detailed and listed separately in the Work Experience section of the Application.)**NOTE**: Child Support Specialist Trainee **and general childcare experience are** **not considered qualifying experience.**Training Experience**
- One (1) year of experience developing curricula or course materials, delivering instruction, and evaluating the training program for adult learners.**_
NOTE: _**_Qualifying degrees or coursework must be completed at a college or university accredited by any accrediting association recognized by the United States Department of Education. Degrees or coursework completed outside the U.S. must be accompanied with an evaluation report from a reputable credential evaluation service showing equivalency to degrees or coursework completed at a college or university accredited by any accrediting association recognized by the United States Department of Education._
**Desired Qualifications**:
A bachelor's degree in a qualifying field listed above.- Experience developing and delivering curricula or course materials on Child Support related topics is highly desirable.- Knowledge of the Child Support Enforcement System is highly desirable.-
- Experience with computer programs used in training environments such as Information Mapping, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, etc.**Selection Process**:
