**Director of Operations - MTF Companies - Subway Division**

The Director of Operations (DOO) is a senior position within the organization with responsibility for leading multiple Subway locations in an assigned geographic area. A successful DOO is a solution-oriented, strategic thinker with the ability to drive revenue for the organization.

**A DOO will**:
1. Coach and train assistant and general managers on operational excellence. Helps ensure new hire training is completed and monitors training processes to provide quality training of team members. Develops and maintains staffing levels for managers and assistant managers. Implements management training.

2. Provides leadership to Managers and staff in the geographic area to ensure compliance with standards, as outlined in the Subway® _Operations Manual, _and company expectations.

3. Takes an active role in managing unit-by-unit financials including labor and food costs, sales promotions, and maintenance expenses.

4. Works with staff to achieve sales goals, using available reports to identify opportunities.

5. Supports local and national marketing initiatives.

6. Completes the University of Subway® courses and ensures the same of team.

**Qualifications of a DOO**

1. 4-6 years of successful, operational management experience in a restaurant environment. Subway experience is helpful but not required.

2. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills. Willingness to appropriately challenge leadership and confidently present ideas.

3. Maintain calm while acting with a sense of urgency.

4. Ability to prioritize multiple projects at the same time.

5. Effective verbal and written communication skills.

6. Like to have fun and work with great people

Pay: $58,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year

**Education**:

- High school or equivalent (required)

**Experience**:

- operational management: 3 years (preferred)

License/Certification:

- Portland, ME: Relocate before starting work (required)

Willingness to travel:

- 75% (preferred)
