Lodging Host Hotel Corp is seeking a skilled Meeting/Event Coordinator to join our Hilton Garden Inn - College Station team. The Event Coordinator will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing a variety of events while working closely with the Director of Sales. The 119-room hotel has 3 meeting spaces, including 2 ballrooms and 1 board room, and the ability to provide catering services through the in-house restaurant.
This role requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
**Duties**:
- Work with Sales to plan and coordinate events from start to finish
- Create event budgets and ensure all expenses remain within budget constraints
- Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers when necessary
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients and guests
- Upsell additional services or products
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in event planning or related field
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in budgeting and financial management
- Knowledge of event marketing strategies
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
