Our Building Services division is a rapidly growing General Contracting firm, with multiple projects throughout Massachusetts. We are seeking a motivated, team player to join our team as Construction Estimator. In this role, you will serve as a key member of our Construction Management Team, reporting directly to the Vice President, Building Services.

**Typical Duties of a Construction Estimator**:
**Bid Management**:

- Identify necessary trades for project completion and request quotes from qualified subcontractors and vendors using bid management software.
- Carefully examine project plans and requirements as outlined in the Request for Proposal (RFP).
- Compare and finalize proposals using our internal bidding system.
- Organize and participate in subcontractor site visits as needed.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with subcontractors and clients.
- Develop comprehensive work descriptions to evaluate subcontractor quotes.
- Present the final bid for Senior Management approval before submission.
- Actively ensure sufficient subcontractor participation through regular communication and engagement.
- Collaborate with the Project Team to review bid proposals a few days before submission deadlines.
- Assemble the final bid package, ensuring inclusion of all RFP elements such as team details, references, and previous project experiences.
- Aim to submit all bids within set deadlines.

**Project Initiation**:

- Arrange a transition meeting with the project team for projects we are awarded.
- Follow up actively on submitted bids with clients, architects, or construction managers.
- Inform subcontractors using bid management software about projects not secured by the company.
- Discuss project blueprints, specifications, quotes, and notes with the project team, offering recommendations and pointing out potential concerns.
- Provide ongoing support to the project team, assisting with large change orders, sourcing additional resources if needed, and addressing follow-up inquiries.

**Qualifications**:

- 5+ years construction estimating experience
- Ability to work in diverse conditions completing a variety of tasks
- Possess a working knowledge of SAGE Construction Management Software
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project and Outlook)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
