Responsibilities:

- Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals
- Perform and analyze laboratory tests and procedures, such as bloodwork and urinalysis
- Administer medications and treatments to animals as directed by veterinarians
- Monitor animals before, during, and after surgical procedures
- Take x-rays of animals
- Prepare animals for surgery, including cleaning and sterilizing surgical instruments
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and treatment plans
- Maintain accurate medical records for all animals

**Experience**:

- Previous experience working as a veterinary technician or in a related field is preferred
- Knowledge of animal physiology and veterinary terminology
- Proficient in animal handling techniques, including dog handling and restraint
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures and equipment used in a veterinary setting
- Understanding of animal husbandry practices and pet grooming techniques

**Skills**:

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Compassionate and caring attitude towards animals and their owners
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with veterinarians and other staff members
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
