Accounts Receivable Specialist

**General Purpose**

**Main Job Duties and Responsibilities**
- Establish and maintain good, consistent communication with clients
- Maintain up-to-date billing system
- Generate and carry out billing, cash management, and reporting activities according to specific deadlines and client contract requirements
- Reconcile customer account details for non-payments, discrepancies, delayed payments and other irregularities
- Maintain accounts receivable customer files and records
- Follow established procedures for processing customer receipts and preparing bank deposits
- investigate and resolve client queries and requests
- Develop a recovery system, initiate collection efforts, and process adjustments as needed
- Assist with accounting month-end closing and year-end closings
- Analyze client data and activities and prepare monthly metrics to update management

**Schedule**:
Monday - Friday

8:00am - 4:30pm

**Education and Experience**
- Knowledge of accounts receivable
- Knowledge of office administration and procedures
- Knowledge of general bookkeeping procedures
- Knowledge of general accounting principals
- Proficient in relevant computer software such as Microsoft Dynamics, Word, and Excel
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements
- 5-7 years accounts receivable and general accounting experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred but not required
